The method involves providing ethylene propylene diene monomer webs, and enabling locally, surface-moderately displacement perforation of the ethylene propylene diene monomer webs. The ethylene propylene diene monomer webs are lengthened. The webs are attached to a building part to form a waterproof layer, which is sectionally fixed at a root up to water column height of 500 mm with material number of not more than 5000 and is vapor permeable. The ethylene propylene diene monomer webs are thermally and/or chemically connected. An independent claim is also included for an ethylene propylene diene monomer web for forming a building sealing i.e. horizontally running building sealing.
