PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of selecting a channel of a television receiver where the channel is selected dating back to the channel selected before. SOLUTION: A channel selection device 1 that selects the channel of the television receiver includes; a selection means 2 that determines a preferred channel by an external operation; a storage means 4 that incrementaly stores information about the selected channel; and returning operation means 3 that selects the last determined channel by referring to the storage means 4 following the external operation.
