<p>The present invention relates to the use of magnets in the treatment of medical conditions wherein the magnotherapy product comprises a magnet having positive and negative poles, the magnet having a metallic element which distorts the magnetic field distribution around the magnet so as to attenuate the magnetic field in the vicinity of the positive pole of the magnet. The invention also relates to methods of treatment using those magnets.</p>
