<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a thermal transfer recording medium which is prevented from staining due to a coloring material while exhibiting more blackness than heretofore, and does not occur the deterioration of thermal sensitivity. <P>SOLUTION: The thermal transfer recoding medium is formed by applying ink prepared by dispersing a pigment dispersion and a vehicle in a solvent on a substrate film and drying them.
