PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To highly accurately compensate skew of a differential signal. SOLUTION: The transmission system includes a transmitter which transmits a first differential signal by a transmission line and a receiver. A generation circuit generates a second differential signal whose baud rate is lower than that of the first differential signal. A switch switches the second differential signal generated by the generation circuit and the first differential signal and outputs the signals to the transmission line. A skew detection circuit detects skew of the second differential signal transmitted by the transmission line from the transmitter. A skew correction circuit corrects skew of the first differential signal transmitted by the transmission line from the transmitter based on the skew detected by the skew detection circuit.
