PURPOSE: A user purpose analysis apparatus and method thereof are provided to prevent the output of a voice recognition result from a sentence having a voice recognition function. CONSTITUTION: A phrase spotting unit(220) performs phrase spotting operation. An available sentence determining unit(230) determines whether at least one sentence is a grammatically effective sentence. The sentence in which a valid sentence determining unit is not effective is filtered. An intension inference unit(240) generates an intension analysis result about a sentence that is determined as an effective sentence.
