PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing device that has a simple constitution, and prevents a fixing roller from becoming exposed in a mounted state on a desk or the like. SOLUTION: When the fixing device 12 is mounted on a flat mounting surfaces 91 of the desk or the like, a left-side bottom plate 84 of the fixing device 12 abuts on the mounting surface 91, and a lower end 86f of an abutting rib 86c of the same height as that of the left-side bottom plate 84 also abuts on the mounting surface 91. In this state, even when an opening/closing body 86 tries to rotate clockwise about a shaft 86d, the lower end 86f of the abutting rib 86c abuts on the mounting surface 91.
