PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermoformable expandable sheet for molding, which produces a bulky deep drawing molded product having characteristics such as heat insulating properties, heat-retaining properties, and cushioning properties. SOLUTION: The thermoformable expandable sheet for molding comprises wood pulp, polyolefin-based synthetic pulp, a thermoplastic synthetic fiber and expandable microcapsule particles as main components and is a multilayer sheet composed of a surface layer, a middle layer and a back layer. The content of wood pulp in the whole sheet for molding is not more than 20 mass%, the middle layer contains 10-50 mass% of expandable microcapsule particles based on 100 mass% of the fiber constituting the middle layer, the surface and the back layers do not contain the expandable microcapsule particles or contain the particles in an amount of 10 mass% or less which is smaller than that of the middle layer. The expandable microcapsule particles are dried in an unexpanded state in a drying step of paper machine and wound. COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
