A foam injection molding machine is equipped with a movable platen, a fixed platen, mold clamping hydraulic cylinders provided at four corners of both platens, a tie bar which is driven for mold clamping by the hydraulic cylinder, two sets of die opening/closing actuators which drive the movable platen to advance toward the fixed platen or retract therefrom, two sets of devices dedicated to core back, and a controller which controls the two sets of die opening/closing actuators and two sets of devices dedicated to core back, wherein the controller is provided with a program dedicated to core back and controlling operation of the two sets of die opening/closing actuators and the two sets of devices dedicated to core back simultaneously in conjunction at the time of foaming core back operation for separating the movable platen from the fixed platen.
