The housing part (10) for a gear, comprises a coolant line, which is connected into the housing part. The housing part is made of a first material such as aluminum, as a casting part and the coolant line is made of a second material such as steel or stainless steel, as a tube, where the first material has a lower melting point than the second material. The coolant line comprises threaded connectors at two ends accessible outside of the housing part, where the threaded connectors are arranged on same side (12) of the housing part. The housing part (10) for a gear, comprises a coolant line, which is connected into the housing part. The housing part is made of a first material such as aluminum, as a casting part and the coolant line is made of a second material such as steel or stainless steel, as a tube, where the first material has a lower melting point than the second material. The coolant line comprises threaded connectors at two ends accessible outside of the housing part, where the threaded connectors are arranged on same side (12) of the housing part. The threaded connectors with end sections protrude from the housing part. The housing part is in recurring contact with gear oil in order to heat the gear oil. The coolant line is arranged in the housing part in straight sections and terminal loops in meander-shaped manner and the terminal loops are bent over 180[deg] . The coolant line is flow throughable by a cooling fluid. The housing part comprises cooling fins or cooling finger (14). The housing part has an interior area as cover, which is partially filled with the gear oil that terminates the gearbox, where the cooling fins or the cooling finger project into the interior area and the free ends of the cooling fins or cooling finger follow a contour of a rotary gear. The density of the coolant line is locally correlated into the housing part with a length of the cooling finger or an area of the cooling fins. The cooling fins and/or cold finger are arranged in the mounted state of the housing part external of the gear interior area. An independent claim is included for a method for the production of a housing part.
