<p>A method, device and system for master-backup switching in a passive optical network (PON) are disclosed in the present invention, wherein the method includes the following steps: the second optical line terminal (OLT) receives the control message which is based on PON protocol from the end-user, and the control message carries the physical layer and link layer information of the terminal device which is on the first OLT; the second OLT judges the operating state of the first OLT, and when judges a fault occurring in the first OLT or in the backbone fiber corresponding to the first OLT, switches to the master state. The method, equipment and system for master back-up switching provided by the present invention, do not need complex route protocol support, also not depend on the state of upper layer network, and can be easily implemented. Because the access authentication information on the master OLT can be synchronized to the back-up OLT, the reconfiguration on the back-up OLT is not needed, and the fast master back-up switching can be implemented.</p> |
