PURPOSE: A C13ORF23 gene for diagnosing colon cancer is provided to diagnose colon cancer by confirming gene expression. CONSTITUTION: A composition for diagnosing colon cancer contains C13ORF23[chromosome 13 open reading frame 23](GeneBank accession No.NM_025138.3/NM_170719.2) gene, a sense and antisense primer pair, a protein expressed from the gene, and an antibody for the protein. The primer pair has sequence numbers 27 and 28. A kit for diagnosing colon cancer has the C13ORF23 gene, primer pair, protein, or antibody.
