<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inorganic particle composite, while maintaining surface hardness characteristic of inorganic particles, in which brittleness and easiness for separation are reduced. <P>SOLUTION: There is provided a method for producing an inorganic particle composite which is formed from a mixture of a plastically deformable metal 2 and inorganic particles 1 that are not plastically deformed under the conditions under which the metal is plastically deformed. The method comprises a step of preparing an inorganic particle structure that is formed from the mixture of the metal and the inorganic particles and has internal gaps, and a step of plastically deforming metal contained in the structure.
