PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the convenience when using a video telephone function, by incorporating a camera in a television body.

SOLUTION: A television receiver includes: a camera part which is incorporated in the television receiver and photographs a video; a display part which displays the photographed video on a display panel of the television receiver; an encoder part which encodes the photographed video to generate encoded video information; a transmission part which transmits the encoded video information generated by the encoding part to another television receiver; and a reception part which receives encoded video information from another television receiver.
