PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the occurrence of dropping frames, even if a load of image processing is increased in an image processing apparatus that captures image data from the outside, applies image processing on the image data and externally outputs the processed image data. SOLUTION: A CPU 12 executes a VPFE task for storing non-processed image data stored in a VPSS buffer 21 in an application buffer 22, and an algorithm task for: reading the non-processed image data stored in the application buffer 22; applying image processing according to a predetermined algorithm to the read non-processed image data; and storing the processed image data in the application buffer 22, and a VPBE task for storing the processed image data stored in the application buffer 22 in the VPSS buffer 21.
