PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a diaphragm for speaker having required rigidity while reducing the thickness of a diaphragm center part, and to provide a speaker. SOLUTION: The diaphragm 22 is used for a dynamic type speaker, a honeycomb-shaped reinforcing rib 26 is formed on the entire surface of the diaphragm center part 23 composed of a planar thin film to uniformly reinforce the entire surface of the diaphragm center part 23. The strength of the entire surface of the diaphragm center part 23 is uniformly adjusted by adjusting the density (fineness) of the reinforcing rib 26.
