摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method for a positive active material of a lithium ion battery, capable of enhancing quick charge and discharge characteristics by controlling an amount of trivalent Fe (Fe(III)) contained in a LiFePO<SB>4</SB>fine particle, and to provide the positive active material for the lithium ion battery. SOLUTION: This manufacturing method for the positive active material for the lithium ion battery: dissolves Li<SB>3</SB>PO<SB>4</SB>, or a Li source and a phosphorous source, and a Fe source, into a solvent containing water as a main component; adds an oxidant to an obtained mixture; and generates the LiFePO<SB>4</SB>fine particle, by pressurizing and heating the mixture containing the oxidant.
