摘要 <p>Described herein are a ventilating device and a method for ventilating a housing, in particular a printing machine housing. The ventilating device comprises a first blower (21), a second blower (32), a flow chamber (34) with an inlet opening (38) and an outlet opening (40), and an ascending pipe (46), these being arranged in ventilating direction in the sequence of first blower, inlet opening, flow chamber, outlet opening, second blower and ascending pipe. At least one equalization opening (42) that is at least partially open at all times, said equalization opening displaying a greater flow resistance than the inlet opening of the flow chamber, connects the flow chamber between the inlet opening and the outlet opening with the environment. With the ventilating method, the housing air is conducted, in normal operating mode, by means of a first blower (21) out of the housing through an inlet opening into a flow chamber (34), and the housing air is conducted by means of a second blower (32) through an outlet opening (40) out of the flow chamber and through an ascending pipe into the environment. Through at least one equalization opening (42) that is at least partially open at all times, said equalization opening connecting the flow chamber between the inlet opening and the outlet opening with the environment, the second blower sucks in environmental air and discharges said environmental air, together with the housing air, through the ascending pipe. The at least one equalization opening displays a greater flow resistance than the inlet opening of the flow chamber. Further described herein is a support ventilator comprising a suction opening, a flow chamber, a blower and an outlet opening, these being arranged in the stated sequence. The blower is arranged in such a manner that it can generate an air flow from the suction opening through the flow chamber to the outlet opening; and at least one equalization opening that is at least partially open at all times is provided, said equalization opening connecting the flow chamber between the inlet opening and the outlet opening and the blower with the environment. The at least one equalization opening displays a greater flow resistance than the suction opening.</p>
