<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a resin composition for an aqueous coating that has high gloss and exhibits excellent adhesion, hot water-resistant adhesion, and high solvent resistance to any plastic molded products comprising ABS resin, ABS/PC resin, and PS resin materials, and a plastic coating containing the resin composition for an aqueous coating. <P>SOLUTION: The resin composition for an aqueous coating contains an emulsion (A) including a copolymer with a glass transition temperature of 50°C or higher obtained by performing emulsion polymerization of an ethylenically unsaturated monomer including a hydroxy group-containing vinyl monomer and cycloalkyl (meth)acrylate as indispensable components in the presence of a surfactant, and a water-dispersible polyisocyanate composition (B) containing a hydrophobic polyisocyanate (b1).
