CARBON CAPTURE COOLING SYSTEM AND METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cooling system for forming a syngas by reacting a carbon substance supplying material with oxygen and steam in a gasifier in an integrated gasification combined cycle power generation to generate energy from the carbon substance supplying material comparatively cleanly and efficiently.

SOLUTION: A system and a method are for capturing a gas 161 containing carbon and cooling the captured carbon containing gas 161. For example, the system is capable of including a carbon capturing system 116 configured so as to collect the carbon containing gas 161 from the syngas and the cooling system 163 having the gas 161 containing carbon in a cooling circuit.
