<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multiaxial acceleration sensor and a multiaxial acceleration detection method. <P>SOLUTION: The multiaxial acceleration sensor includes a support 12, a pair of weights 24 and 26 each hinged to the support 12, and a pair of pressure-sensitive elements 28 and 30 for connecting each weight to the support 12 and having the direction of a force as a detection axis. The pair of weights 24 and 26 are each hinged at such positions as to rotate in the same direction together when first acceleration 40 is applied and rotate in the opposite directions when second acceleration 42 perpendicular to the first acceleration 40 is applied and each rotate by applied acceleration to apply the force to the pair of pressure-sensitive elements 28 and 30.
