<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent processing different from a user's intention from being executed due to a change in setting information. <P>SOLUTION: When the execution of normal processing, such as copying and facsimile transmission is instructed, whether the execution of processing for changing setting information that is referred to when the normal processing is executed is reserved or not is determined (72).
