PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bush cutter preventing a starting switch from being operated carelessly by the contact with a plant or the like, by a simple structure. SOLUTION: The bush cutter 10 equipped with the starting switch 30 provided at a handle-gripping portion 19 of an operation arm 16 is constituted so that the handle-gripping portion 19 may surround the whole circumference of a lever 31 on a nearly flat plane on which the lever 31 constituting the starting switch 30 acts.
