PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hair shampoo composition having good segregational stability which causes quick foaming, can provide a sufficient amount of foam, has no squeaky feeling of hair during rinsing, suppresses dryness and broadening of hair after drying, and can impart smoothness to hair. SOLUTION: The hair shampoo composition includes: (A) a cationic surfactant; (B) a 12-24C long-chain aliphatic alcohol; (C) an amphoteric surfactant; and (D) at least one nonionic surfactant having an HLB of 3-17 selected from the group consisting of polyoxyethylene cetyl/stearyl hydroxymyristylene ether, polyethylene glycol dilaurate, polyethylene glycol distearate, polyethylene glycol diisostearate, and polyethylene glycol dioleate.
