PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To advantageously enlarge measurement range so as to enable remeasurement when the content of an antigen or an antibody to be measured in a sample exceeds the initial measurement range in an immunoassay. SOLUTION: The immunoassay method includes: a first measurement step (S1) of injecting a first amount of a solution containing the sample containing the antigen or antibody to be measured into a reaction container to which a predetermined amount of an antibody or an antigen has been immobilized, thereby forming an antigen-antibody complex, and measuring the amount of the antigen or antibody contained in the sample by measuring the amount of the formed antigen-antibody complex; and a second measurement step (S2) of, when the amount of the antigen or antibody contained in the sample exceeds the measurement range of the first measurement step as a result of the measurement in the first measurement step, injecting a second amount, which is larger than the first amount, of the solution containing the sample to another reaction container to which the predetermined amount of the antibody or antigen has been immobilized, thereby forming an antigen-antibody complex, and measuring the amount of the antigen or antibody contained in the sample by measuring the amount of the formed antigen-antibody complex.
