PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spacer dispersion liquid capable of manufacturing a liquid crystal display device having a high display quality without light leakage or the like due to spacers by precisely arranging the spacers on a non-display part of a liquid crystal display device substrate according to an inkjet method, and to provide the liquid crystal display device made by using the spacer dispersion liquid. SOLUTION: The spacer dispersion liquid used in a method of manufacturing the liquid crystal display device in which the spacers 8 are arranged on arbitrary positions on the substrate 1 according to an inkjet method includes at least the spacers 8 and a medium, wherein the medium comprises a liquid having a boiling point of 150°C or more and water.
