PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wheel bearing device having improved performance by enhancing the airtightness of a seal fitting part to improve sealing performance of a seal. SOLUTION: A seal 20 is constituted of a slinger 11 and a seal plate 21 arranged opposite to each other. The slinger 11 consists of a cylindrical part 11a press-fitted in an inner ring 3 and a vertical plate part 11b extended radially outward. The seal plate 21 comprises a core metal 14 press-fitted in an end inner periphery of an outward member 10', and a seal member 22 made up of a pair of side lips 22a, 22b obliquely extended radially outward and brought into slide contact with the vertical plate part 11b and a grease lip 22c brought into slide contact with the cylindrical part 11a. A backup seal 24 is fitted to the outer side of a bearing of the seal 20, and formed of a cylindrical core metal 25 abutting on an opening end 23 of the seal plate 21 and a seal member 26 containing a seal lip 26a brought into slide contact with the vertical plate part 11b.
