A glass product molding machine provided with molds (1A, 1B) which each comprise a pair of split molds (11, 12), and with a mold cooling device (X) which cools the molds (1A, 1B) to control the temperature thereof. In order to prevent a defect, such as deformation or cracks, from occurring in a molding due to a difference in temperature between the split molds (11, 12), the mold cooling device (X) is provided with: cooling mechanisms (3R, 3L) individually provided for the split molds (11, 12) of the molds (1A, 1B) and individually applying cooling air to the split molds (11, 12); valve mechanisms (30R, 30L) for individually opening and closing the paths for introducing the cooling air to the cooling mechanisms (3R, 3L); a temperature detection means for detecting the temperature of at least one of split molds; and a temperature control device (9) which, on the basis of the temperature detected by the temperature detection means, generates and outputs respective control signals for the valve mechanisms (30R, 30L), the control signals controlling the opening and closing operations of the valve mechanisms (30R, 30L). |
