The method of the invention aims to increase starch retention in sheets of paper in order to reduce operating costs and enhance the physical properties of the paper. For this purpose, the method comprises the addition of metered trivalent cation salts to the slurry or during the method for obtaining powdered starch or by mixing a percentage of powdered trivalent salts with the starch powder, in order to obtain a salt solution in the slurry so that said salts dissolve during the dispersion of the slurry in the paper sheet production method. Optionally, in addition to said salts, it is also possible to use organic polymers such as polyacrylamides, polyvinylamides and polyDADMACs. |
