An earth fault detection circuit for detecting the earth fault of an insulated battery is equipped with an AC signal generator which generates an AC signal, a first capacitive element that couples the AC signal generated by the AC signal generator to the battery, a potential dividing unit that divides the AC signal coupled to the battery by the first capacitive element, an earth fault detection unit that detects an earth fault of the battery on the basis of the AC component of the input signal, and a second capacitive element that couples the AC signal divided by the potential dividing unit to the earth fault detection unit as an input signal.
