PURPOSE: An image forming device is provided to rapidly exchange the platen covers of each specification without an exchange process for a supporting frame. CONSTITUTION: Four mounting units are linearly disposed in a main body of an image forming apparatus. A first and a second platen covers(61,62) that differ from each other in weight also differ from each other in interval between support units(71,72). The first platen cover is mounted on the machine body using the mounting units, and the second platen cover is mounted on the machine body using the mounting units.
