PURPOSE: An apparatus and method for supplying digital broadcasting in a mobile terminal are provided to control a PIP function without selecting an additional menu by terminating the execution of a PIP(Picture In Picture) function according to the touch input of a user. CONSTITUTION: A control unit(100) controls the operation of a portable terminal. The control unit performs the control of voice call and controls a PIP function according to the touch input of a user. A function determining unit(102) determines the operation of the portable terminal by using touch input information. A memory unit(104) stores reference data for processing and controlling the control unit. A touch managing unit(106) senses the touch input of a user according to the control of a control unit.
