A patient harness system (10) for an emergency cot (18) comprising a chest strap restraint (14), a thigh strap restraint (16), and a harness restraint (12) having a shoulder harness (20) and pelvis restraint (22) is disclosed. The harness restraint (12) is mountable to the emergency cot (18) via a plurality of quick release restraint buckles (54a, 54b, 54c), each of the quick restraint buckles (54a, 54b, 54c) comprising a retaining plug (72). A method of securing a patient to the emergency cot using the patient harness system is also disclosed. |
