PURPOSE: A method of power management in an apparatus including a processor is provided to efficiently control the performance point of time for power level scaling in order to reduce poser consumption while ensuring the stability of a device. CONSTITUTION: An active mode begins by applying a main clock signal to a processor. A scaling operation is performed for a power level of a processor and an idle mode is started(S200). The scaling for the power level of the processor adjusts the frequency of the main clock signal and/or the strength of main power voltage based on the working load of the processor. If the active mode continues for a reference time, the scaling for the power level in the processor is performed.
