PURPOSE: A semiconductor light emitting device, a semiconductor light emitting module, and a lighting device are provided to improve the light intensity spread out around the light emission direction while improving the concentricity of the light emitted in light emission direction. CONSTITUTION: A package substrate(2) comprises a recess(21R) formed with an opening(213). A light emitting device is installed on the bottom part(211B) of the recess in the first direction. A transmissive resin(6) is formed to cover the light emission device inside the recess. A focusing lens(8) comprises a main lens area(81) and a supplementary lens area(82) for focusing the light in light emission direction.
