PURPOSE: A system and a method for measuring the thickness of a melting furnace are provided to measure the thickness of a melting furnace regardless of a temperature change and a voltage value change. CONSTITUTION: A system for measuring the thickness of a melting furnace comprises a first resistance part(10), a second resistance part(20), and a resistance measurement part(30). The first and second resistance parts are subsided into the inner wall of a melting furnace. When the surface of the inner wall of the melting furnace is worn away, the resistance values of the first and second resistance parts are different from each other. The resistance measurement part is connected to the first and second resistance parts to measure a resistance difference between the first and second resistance parts.
