<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a parking brake capable of causing proper and stable slide resistance and preventing play of an operation lever without reducing the operation efficiency of the operation lever by a member provided on the operation lever easily. <P>SOLUTION: This parking brake can brake a braking part and release the braking through a brake cable by displacing the operation lever 20 and is provided with a ratchet plate 10 fixed and provided to/in a base frame 2 to engage and disengage an operation lever 20 side and a pressing brush 60 fixed and provided to/on the operation lever 20 side to cause resistance by pressing the ratchet plate 10.
