1,196,524. Crimping yarns. G. BATSCH. 15 July, 1968 [21 July, 1967], No. 33555/68. Heading D1F. In a machine for texturing thermoplastic yarns by false-twist crimping followed by modification of the effects thereof by heatsetting under controlled tension in order to reduce stretch in the yarn without loss of crimp and/or bulk, each yarn follows successively a first heating path in which it travels vertically downwards under its own weight, a cooling path in which it travels vertically upwards, and a second heating path in which it travels vertically downwards, again under its own weight. The paths are provided by two symmetrically arranged groups of U-form channels and two groups of rectilinear channels disposed symmetrically between the limbs of the other channels.
|
