<p>Catalytic reaction of a liquid and a gaseous component particularly for the desulphurisation of mineral oil or cracker distillates or residues b.pt. above 350 degrees C, using a hydrogen-rich gas containing 60-95% hydrogen, in which the reactants flow upwardly in sequence through a series of 2-5 or more reaction zones at a velocity which maintains the catalyst in suspension without carrying over from one zone to another or out of the top of the reactor, and in which there is no recycling of reactants, the reactant ratio being controlled by feeding some of the gas to any or all of the reaction zones.</p> |
