PURPOSE: A method of managing a patent portfolio by using patent data and management data is provided to newly utilize a patent index for developing the correlation of management data including patent and financial data. CONSTITUTION: Patent data(100) are arranged, and an analysis object patent(110) is extracted. A similar patent(120) is extracted, and an applicant(200) is determined. The arranged applicant is temporally stored(300), and a use purpose(500) is selected. 3 variables and/or indexes proper to the use purpose are hypothesized(600). One variable and/or index is selected(610), and the rest two variables and/or indexes(620) are selected.
