PURPOSE: A system and method for controlling voltage of an electric power system are provided to stably maintain the voltage of a power system even when disturbance such as an accident or load change occurs. CONSTITUTION: A continuous voltage controller(200) adjusts the output data of a continuous invalid power source(150), and a discrete voltage controller(400) selects a discrete invalid power source(170) by receiving operating initiating signals and power system flow data. The discrete voltage controller adjusts the output data of the discrete invalid power source to maintain the voltage of the power system, and controls the output data by inputting the discrete invalid power source. An invalid power cooperative controller(300) generates the operation initiation signal based on maintenance range information.
