<p>A touch screen has one or more actuators to give haptic feedback to a user touching the screen. When the touch screen displays an on screen keyboard, the force of the feedback has two peaks. The peaks are seperated 10ms to 40ms. The second peak is three to four times wider than the first. The feedback may have a duration of 100ms. The same actuator may also give audio feedback, which may have a frequency of 800 Hz to 4 KHz. The audio signal may be localised on the screen at the point touched by the user. The feedback signal may be the sum of two exponential functions with different decay rates.</p> |
