Recyclable container blank with recyclable article securing web

A container (1) formed from a blank has a web of material 2 therein adapted to constrain an article (A) therein. The web of material 2 is selected from one or more materials having substantially identical recycling characteristics to the container. Preferably the blank consists of a four segments each having a side panel 4a-d, a top panel 5a-d, and a base panel 6a-d. The web of material 2 may be secured via adhesive 9 to each of the side walls 4a-d and is of sufficient height to protrude from an open-mouthed container formed from the blank (see fig 5). Preferably the material web 2 has cohesive portions thereon, the portions being brought together about an article (A) so that the cohesive regions bond across their entire free area until the bonded section abuts the upper surface of the or each article A held therein, thereby creating the constraining tension on the article A. The blank may be folded such that the material web 2 is not exposed prior to being assembled into an open mouthed container. A method of forming a container having a material web 2 is also disclosed.
