To provide transmission equipment for a railroad vehicle, applicable to rolling stocks of long formation, and which can be improved in reliability. The transmission apparatus includes transmission repeaters 1a-1n having a plurality of transmission ports 4, for repeat transmitting the data received from either of the transmission ports to a necessary transmission port, based on a given instruction; a transmission repeater controller 2 for controlling the transmission port repeating the data in the transmission repeater, and giving an instruction thereto; transmission stations 5a-5d for receiving/transmitting data from/to the transmission port; and transmission lines 3a to 3(n-1) for connecting between each of the plurality of the transmission repeaters. Based on the instruction from the transmission repeater controller 2, dedicated packet switching is performed so as to avoid data collision between each of the plurality of the transmission repeaters. From the data address received, the transmission repeater controller conducts deciding as to whether it is a control packet or a repeated data, and repeats the data. |
