APPARATUS FOR COOLING BEVERAGES

An apparatus for cooling a beverage package comprises a dispense unit 1 having a cooling chamber 13 for accommodating a beverage package 100. A cooling medium circuit 20 circulates cooling medium from the cooler 3 to the cooling chamber 13. The cooler 3 is located at a position remote from the cooling chamber 13, and a python 2 having one or more cooling lines 21, 22 extends from the cooler to the cooling chamber 13. Having the cooler 3 situated remote from the cooling chamber 13, means that small kegs or packages 100 of beverage to be dispensed can be kept at a bar area, but the bulky cooler, and any heat/noise it generates, can be positioned e.g. below the bar or in a cellar.
