A device for anchoring a rod 1 in a bachole comprises an elongate longitudinally tapered anchoring head 3 screwed on the rod, the head having a narrow end and a wide end, a pair of anchoring elements 6 embracing the head and being capable of longitudinal sliding movement along the head, each element 6 having an internal taper complementary to the taper of the head, and a spring 4 acting between the elements 6 and a collar 5 on the head 3 to urge the elements 6 towards the wide end of the head, securing rings 8 being provided to hold the elements on the head 3. The elements 6 are provided with external teeth 7, and the rings 8 are preferably resilient e.g. of rubber. |
