[Also in Divisions F2 and F3] In a cartridge actuated tool including a driving piston, a pin 1 is frictionally engaged and supported in a barrel 3 of the tool by a pair of rigid washers 5<SP>1</SP>, 6<SP>1</SP> which are spaced apart by a distance of at least half the radius of one of the washers. The washers 5<SP>1</SP>, 6<SP>1</SP> may be of steel and of the same diameter and one of the washers may engage a step 3d in the barrel so as to ensure that the tip of the pin when in the barrel 3 is co-planar with the mouth 2a of the barrel, the head 1a of the pin then being positioned so that it can be struck by the piston whose movement in the barrel 3 is limited by a step (3a) (Fig. 1, not shown). |
