PURPOSE: A cassette for an automatic teller machine is provided to increase the reliability and stability of the cassette by returning a paper medium to a normal position when the cassette is detached. CONSTITUTION: In a cassette for an automatic teller machine, a case(12) having a discharge unit in one side so that a medium picking up unit picks up a paper medium one by one. A shutter(122) is installed in the case which is moved to close the discharge unit when the case is unloaded from a mounting unit, and is moved to open the discharge unit when the case is load in the mounting unit. A first medium support unit(123) is arranged inside the case and pressures the one side of the paper medium to the discharge unit. A second medium support unit(124) is opposite to the first medium support unit to support the paper medium. A medium return unit(125) is connected to the second medium support unit and the shutter and controls the movement of the second medium support.
