<p>The complex has an anion of formula Ru2NClxBr8-x(H2O)2 3- (X is inter 0-8, esp. 5 or 8), pref. the anion is Na, NH4 or esp. K. The complex is used in electroplating baths, pref. containing 5-20 g. Ru/l at pH 1.0-2.0, 20-70 degrees c and 0.1-1.0 amp/dm2. Bath pref. also contains a mild reducing agent, esp. (NH4) formate, oxalate, acetate, citrate or tartrate. The complex is solid and can be added to bath more easily than usual liquid concentrates.</p> |
