PURPOSE: A display device and a buffering method thereof are provided to enable the continuous track play for the data transmitted through an IP network. CONSTITUTION: A communication unit(110) communicates with a service provider through an IP network under the control of a control unit(180). A buffer(120) buffers the data associated with the contents or program received from the service provider through the communication unit, and provides a reproduction unit(130) with the data. The reproduction unit decodes the data provided from the buffer under the control of the control unit and provides a display(140) and an audio output unit(150) with the decoded data.
